Christine Diane Socher, 80, was born on August 8, 1941, in Chicago, IL to Edward and Lillian (nee Mikulan) Stachura. She died Sunday, 05/01/2022 at her home.

Chris was the eldest of three sisters. The two others are Patricia (deceased) and Marcia.

After meeting her future husband at a high school dance, Christine attended college and became a dental assistant. She worked alongside her husband, Dr. Jeffrey Socher at his dental practice in Arlington Heights for some years.

Known as a caring wife and aunt to all the nieces and nephews, plus a dear and reliable friend to all the others in her life, Chris will be remembered for her style, beauty, and culinary skills. She enjoyed watching cooking shows, which sharpened her kitchen skills.

Chris held a close supporting relationship with the Infant Welfare Society of Chicago.

Chris was active in the Chicago and Illinois State Dental Society. In the 1990's, at different times, she served as president of the Alliance of the Illinois State Dental Society and as president of the Auxiliary of the Chicago Dental Society. She was first lady of the Chicago Dental Society when her husband, Jeffrey C. Socher, DDS, served as its president.

In 2006 she had to start dealing with COPD until her passing. COPD gradually reduced her ability to continue with an active life.

Christine is survived by her husband, Jeffrey C. Socher, DDS; her sister, Marcia (Dr. Richard) Kraig, and daughters, Jenna and Marisa; her brother-in-law, James Terracino, and children Jill and Jimmy. She is also survived by nine other nieces and nephews on Jeffreys's side.

She is preceded in death by Edward Stachura (Father), Lillian Stachura (Mother), and Patricia Terracino (Sister).

Visitation will be from 11:00 am until time of Memorial Mass at 12:00 pm Wednesday, 25 May 2022 at St. James Catholic Church, 831 N. Arl. Hts Rd., Arl., Hts, IL 60004.
