Clara (Claire) Jorgensen, passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on June 4, 2025, in her hometown of Chicago, IL. Born on November 8, 1934, Claire's life was a rich tapestry of devotion to her family, friends and neighbors.
As the loving wife of the late Melvin Jorgensen, their partnership was a testament to finding enduring love later in life. She was the cherished daughter of the late Frank and Clara Koch, who instilled in her the values of generosity, compassion and discipline that she carried throughout her life. Claire's legacy as a mother is lovingly remembered by her children, Lynn Wanner (Steve Karstrand), Robert Wanner, and Kerry Wanner (Rich Scarle), who each embody her spirit.
Claire was the fond sister of Doris Rzepecki (the late Leonard), the late Frances Eirich (the late Richard), and Wilma Healey (the late Thomas). Her siblings knew her as a source of unwavering support and someone who always had time to listen. Claire's absence will be deeply felt by her entire family, who take comfort in the myriad of memories they shared with her.
Claire's presence was a focal point in her neighborhood, and she was known to many as someone who was always offering a smile, wisdom, and a helping hand and heart to anyone in need. Claire's influence went far beyond her immediate circle, touching the lives of everyone she encountered with her warmth and curiosity. Her story does not end with her passing but lives on in the countless lives she touched.
A memorial visitation will take place on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60004 from 12:00 PM until 3:00 PM. Private interment will take place at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Arlington Heights, IL.
