Corinne J Aklinski

Corinne was born in Racine, Wisconsin on April 23, 1930, to parents Alex and Antoinette (nee Daubers) Beyer. While visiting her grandmother in Chicago, she met Martin “Marty” Aklinski, while he was out with his softball team following a game. The pair were quickly drawn to each other and were married on August 22, 1953. Corinne knew when she first met Marty that he was the love of her life and there was no other for her. Marty and Corinne were happily married for 41 years until Marty’s death on February 11, 1995.

Corinne was a voracious reader and instilled her love for reading in her grandchildren. She loved to sew, bake for her family and friends, watch Fox News, and cheer on the Chicago Cubs. Corinne will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

Corinne is survived by her children, Steven (Maureen) Aklinski, Sue (Tom) Petykowski, Daniel (Lee) Aklinski, and Dave (Lesa) Aklinski, her grandchildren, Scott (Sasinat) Aklinski, Ashley Aklinski, Erin Guthrie, Carolyn Guthrie, Kyle Aklinski, Ryan Aklinski, and Cassidy Aklinski, and her great-grandson, Max.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marty Aklinski, and her sister, Geraldine (Bill) Morman.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 9, 2025, from 9 a.m. to time of Funeral Mass 10 a.m. all at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60004.

Burial to follow Mass at Saint Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine.
