Courtney Koshgarian

Courtney Gail Koshgarian, 30, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2026. She was born October 9, 1996 the daughter of Gail (née Miller) and Rick Koshgarian; sister of Crystal (Jeff) Motelet; niece to Randy Miller, Gary (Cathy) Miller, and Theresa Miller; cousin to Patrick (Joselyn) and Brian Miller, Matthew Miller, Austin (Brittnay) Kucharski, and Meaghan and Amanda Miller; and friend to many students and staff from Kirk School and Northwest Special Recreation Association (NWSRA). She was preceded in death by her grandparents Margaret and Glenn Miller, Ruth (Ken) Williams, and Robert Koshgarian; uncle Michael Miller; and many dear family and friends before her. We are eternally grateful for the help of her home-health nurses over the years, as well as the staff at Lightways Hospice.

Courtney attended Kirk School in Palatine, IL, from 2001 until graduating in 2018. While there, she made lifelong friends of students, teachers, and staff, who quickly became our extended family. She enjoyed going on field trips, creating in art class, attending school events and fundraisers, and cheering for the Kirk Cubs. Through NWSRA, she joined in the fun at summer camps, social events, young adult programs, and the Snoezelen Sensory Room.

When not at school, she liked going on adventures with her loved ones. From trips to Kalamazoo, MI, and Brookfield, WI, to more local excursions to pumpkin patches, holiday light shows, movie theaters, and outdoor concerts, Courtney lived a full life. At home, she spent time with Gail, Crystal, and Jemma baking, crafting, dancing, listening to music, and finding any excuse to dress up.

A visitation and celebration of life will be held from 12:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Saturday, November 7, 2026 at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Attendees are asked to wear purple, sparkles, or a combination of the two, in her honor.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Northwest Suburban Special Education Organization (NSSEO) Foundation in Courtney’s name. NSSEO’s purpose is to secure and channel resources to support and promote the educational programs and services for students served by NSSEO, including those at Kirk School.
