Of Barrington
Craig R. Glander was born December 5, 1955 in Arlington Heights to Richard and Dianne (nee Botterman) Glander. He passed away at his home in Barrington on December 1, 2021.
He grew up in Arlington Heights, IL, playing the sport of hockey for many years. Craig owned and operated Glander Paving Co., which was founded by his father, Richard Glander, in 1957. In his free time, he loved to feed and watch the birds come to his many different feeders, and he also loved cheering on the Chicago Blackhawks.
His greatest joys in life were spending time with family and his passion for animals. He loved his horses very much! He loved owning, raising, and racing his thoroughbreds at Arlington Park, Hawthorne, Kentucky, & Indiana. When the horses were done racing for the season, they would come home and be treated like royalty!
Craig is survived by his children Jessamyn Glander; Chad (Kelly) Glander; Chase (Taylor) Glander; his grandchildren Brooke, Paige, Makenna, Lucas, and Ethan; his siblings Scott Glander and Cathleen (Scott) Habich; and nieces and nephews.
Craig is preceded in death by his wife Linda (nee Paggi) Glander.
