Darlene J. Jensen

Darlene grew up on the N.W. side of Chicago near Foreman HS, where she met her husband to be. She had very close relationships with her grandmother Sophie Lusch, her Aunt Dorothy and Uncle Don Nelson and her cousins Donna, Debbie and Wally.

Darlene worked as an executive personal secretary and administrative assistant, until her long awaited “miracle baby” Billy was born to her and Bill in 1990. She was then able to retire from the workforce and dedicate herself to being the best mother, wife and homemaker possible. When Billy grew to school age she became extremely involved in his school, St. Peter Lutheran in Arlington Hts. She was a dedicated volunteer serving in many capacities including President of the PTL. She was a kind and loving “Auntie” and a good neighbor and friend to many, always ready to help whenever help was needed.

Darlene is survived by her husband of 49 years, William J. Jensen, her son William “Billy” Jensen, sister-in law Terri and her husband Hassan and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her mother Lillian Rembacz nee Lusch, her step-father Mitchell “Mike” Rembacz, her brother Michael Rembacz and her in-laws William G. Jensen, Barbara Jensen Lasky and John Lasky.

A visitation will take place on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 from 3:00pm to 8:00pm at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd. Arlington Heights, IL 60004. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at 10:00am. Interment will be at Mount Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst, IL.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to The American Diabetes Association.
