Dennis "Denny" Jay Connor

Dennis “Denny" Jay Connor, 72 of Palatine, passed away peacefully at home Saturday, June 21, 2025 after a battle with cancer. He was surrounded by family. He was born February 24, 1953 in Champaign-Urbana, to the late Howard and the late Iva (nee Stephens) Connor.

He retired in 2018 from United Airlines.

Denny was the loving husband of Nancy (nee Lannon) Connor. They were married for over 35 years. Brother of Mike Connor, brother-in-law to Leslie Connor, Georgia Giovingo, the late Marybeth Barron, Terry Lannon, Joni Wheat, Larry Barron, Dan Korb and the late Dominick Giovingo. Amazing Uncle to Morgan Peterson, Patrick Barron, Amanda Rudnick, Peter Lannon, Brian Lannon and Ryan Horner, many great nieces and nephew. Son-in-law to the late Ann and Peter Lannon, Dog dad to sweet Elly and cherished friend of many.

Denny will always be remembered for his sweet smile, quick wit and kindness.

His love of drag racing was more than a hobby. He lived for it.

He will forever be missed. Godspeed, Denny.
