Diane Carol Bartelt (nee Kuenstle) was born on June 13, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois to George and Dorothy (nee Monaghan) Kuenstle. She died Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Northwest Community Hospital, Arlington Heights, Illinois.

Diane was a homemaker whose love of family knew no bounds. She was a member of St. Mary Parish, and in her free time she loved movies, music, dining, and driving. Her generous and loving heart will be greatly missed, but as she loved to say. . . “It’s not the end of the world.”

Diane is survived by her spouse of 52 years, Donald; children, Mary Catherine (Tami Haukedahl) Bartelt, Donna Anne (Rickard) Bartelt-Harris, and John Joseph (Deborah) Bartelt; grandchildren, Alexandra (Daniel) Oetjen, Brooke (Andrew) Hild, Michael Donald(Rachael Hjerpe) Cohen, Samuel Cohen, Daniel Bartelt, Anna Marie Bartelt, Julia Diane Bartelt, Matthew Harris, Mark Harris, and Ryan (Brianna) Haukedahl; great-grandchildren, Cameron Diane Oetjen, Reagan Oetjen, McKinley Oetjen, Alexandra Haukedahl, and Robert Haukedahl; sister, Rosemary Cellini; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Kevin Harris; sister, Barbara Zicky and her parents.

Visitation from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Friday, March 2, 2018 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Rd. (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.), Arlington Heights, Illinois. Prayers 10:45 am, Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the funeral home, proceeding to St. Mary Parish, 10 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove, for Mass at 11:30 am. Interment Private.
