Diane L. Wanner

Diane enjoyed a long career at the Cook County Recorder of Deeds Office. She loved to entertain and socialize with friends and family. Holiday preparations, decorations and gatherings brought her great joy. She loved music and singing - holiday tunes were her favorite. Diane loved to travel, visiting Hawaii, Germany and many destinations across the US.

It wasn’t a visit from Diane without being greeted with a big hug and a batch of freshly baked cookies. Her children and grandchildren will speak of her world-class chocolate chip recipe for generations to come.

Spring was her favorite season. Her window boxes and yard were adorned with a broad variety of green and blooming plants that were the envy of her neighbors.

Diane Wanner is survived by her children, Debra (Desmond) Herbert and Mark (Liz) Earnest; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and siblings Judith Oakley and Renee Diomede. She is preceded in death by her husband, Hans Wanner; her brother Raymond Sikorski Jr. and her parents.

The family will receive guests from 2 to 4 PM on February 7th, at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 North Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois.
