I am so saddened to hear about the passing of Dick. He was a such a kind and beautiful human being. I will always remember the card games we had at Hines and the golf and bowling we did with our pre-press group. He was a great husband, father and grandfather. I am a better person for knowing him and having him in my life.

The world lost a kind soul with the passing of Dick. I have an emptiness that won’t be filled. I’ll never forget his love for “oldies” music. I love the oldies but he was the king. I’ll remember our golf outings and our vacation together. I’ll never forget how Dick and Diana were such great parents. I loved the way they ran their household. I’ll never forget his great sense of humor. He was such a great person. Such a calm and kind person. He was so smart. He was the best at Trivial Pursuit. Better than anyone I have ever played with. I can still picture his gesture when stating the answer to a question in the game (a snap of his fingers followed by a point of his index finger). I think he was a cool guy and he didn’t even know it. I’ll never forget the marathon work hours that he and I endured. We went above and beyond. He set an example for me. He set the standard.
Thinking of our friendship brings a smile to my face because I had the privilege of knowing him. Living in the winter of our lives I look back and see the different segments of my life. One of those is the period with the French family. Some great times. I wish that time could have been longer. Even though distance resulted in us drifting apart, you all have and always will be my friends. That will never end.

I am very saddened to hear this news of Dick’s passing. Diana, Lindsey and Erika you all have my sincerest condolences. He was a quality man who I admired very much. We met at Hinz Litho a long time ago and quickly became friends. A few years later he was our very first full time employee at Precision Litho and was with us for 12 years. A hardworking, honest and very loyal professional. He taught me so much about
lithography. He did enjoy golf and we played together. As a matter of fact he was present when I shot my hole-in-one. I was honored years later by his participation as a groomsman at our wedding. He always spoke so positively about Diana and both of the girls. On the funny side I will never forget him telling the story of Lindsey shortly after getting her license driving into tree because her Wendy’s frosty she had set on the car seat fell onto the floor and she went to get it. You are all in my prayers through this difficult time and going forward. If I can be of any assistance to you please call me without hesitation.
