Dominick Carone

of Mt. Prospect, IL

Dominick Carone, 99, was born on September 13, 1923, in Chicago, Ill. to Philip and Frances (nee Mazzone) Carone. He died peacefully Sunday, March 5, 2023, at his home.

Mr. Carone was a school teacher in the Chicago Public School system, teaching at Gray School for over 40 years before retiring. He was a talented musician who toured in the 1950's with Stan Kenton. He went on to write & produce many Chicago artists, while fronting the Don Carone orchestra. He is a WW II Navy Veteran serving in the Pacific Theater.

Dominick is survived by his wife of 72 years, Jean (nee Bjornestad); her children Gail (Ken) Galinski, Robert (Johna Peterson), Gary (Mary Hernandez), Don (Debbie Maier), and Sharon (Carlo) Baldan; his grandchildren Claudia Carone, Caroline Baldan and Cameron Carone; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family members.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Grace.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until time of prayer service at 4:30 pm, Thursday, March 9, 2023, at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd.,1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Interment private.
