Donald A. Wright, aged 89, was born in Chicago on January 14, 1934, and died on November 1, 2023, in Arlington Heights. He will be interred in his family’s plot in Lisbon Cemetery, Lisbon, Illinois. He spent his teenage years in England (learning English), his college years Dartmouth College in New Hampshire (relearning American), and put in his 2 years military service in Kaiserslautern, Germany as a Lieutenant in the US Army. He led a checkered career, in sales with Illinois Bell Telephone, in accounting with International Harvester, and in auditing with the US Government. He was admired for his tact, humor, honesty, reliability, and enjoyment of a glass of Pinot Noir. He had a lifelong devotion to Julie, his jewel, in a marriage of 66 years. He loved, and is survived by, his sons James (Belinda) and Edward, and two grandchildren, Miles and Melaina.
A memorial service will be held at a future date at Southminster Presbyterian Church in Arlington Heights, Illinois.
