

Doris Rose Williams Doris Rose Williams passed away Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012, after a short illness. She was born Oct. 14, 1924. Her parents; her husband, David M Williams; and her daughter, Sandra Jane Williams, preceded her in death. She is survived by her three sons, Rhys Williams (Tracy Williams), Ian Williams (Betsy Segarra) and Phillip Williams (Shari Williams); and her eight grandchildren, Hayley, Devin, Amelia, Tess, Greer, Graeme, Skyler and Cyan. Doris was born an only child in the small town of Warkworth, Ontario, to Katherine and Frank Walsh. She left home to attend teachers college in Toronto, Ontario. While teaching in Kimberly, British Columbia, she met her future husband, David Williams. They were married in Vancouver in 1953. They moved to Elliot Lake, Ontario, before settling in Arlington Heights in 1961. She was tirelessly devoted to serving her church and the community. She worked as a teacher at Clearbrook Center in Rolling Meadows for 45 years and gave to many charities. She volunteered faithfully at PADS. Doris valued her faith, family and friends. She lived her life with great humor. She was blessed. Visitation will be Monday, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights, 2000 E. Northwest Hwy, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Friends and family will gather Tuesday, from 6 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 7 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Arlington Heights, 302 N. Dunton Ave., Arlington Heights, IL 60004. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Clearbrook Center, Save-A-Pet or PADS, appreciated.
