Dorothy "Hottie Dotte" Lorraine Krause

Dorothy “Hottie Dotte” Lorraine Krause of Arlington Heights, Illinois, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2025, at the age of 97. Dorothy was born on January 27, 1928, in Chicago and was the cherished daughter of John Paul and Katie Sinkovitz (nee Egrestz).

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 57 years, Walter C. Krause; grandchildren, Eric and Mark; and dear siblings, Victor, Kay and Mary.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Walter Paul (Susan) Krause, Nancy Jean (John B.) Bello, M.D., Thomas (Carol) Krause, Dee (Cathy Van Alstin) Krause and Jeffrey Scott (Donna) Krause; cherished grandchildren, Brian (Michelle), John (Anna), Robert (Erin), Joseph (Stefi), James (Melissa), Michael (Monica), Jake and Vincent; Great-grandchildren, Jason, Abbey, Nora, Clayton, Brody, Vincent, Gianna, Lucia, Vito, Alessandro, Lorenzo, Dominic, Elise, Cecilia “Cici”, Juliette, Gianmarco and Luna; nieces and nephews, Melva, Barb, Joe, Richard and Robert. Dorothy is also survived by many extended family members and friends.

A visitation for Dorothy will be held Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Hts. Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois 60004. The service will start at 2:00 PM. Burial at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL will be private at a later date.

Finally home, eternally united with the husband who awaited me.
