Dorothy Petropoulos Of GlenviewDorothy Petropoulos was born on August 16, 1923 in Los Angeles, California to Charles and Gladys (nee Brothers) Bell. She died Sunday, February 28, 2016 in Skokie.Mrs. Petropoulos served in the Army during W.W. II and she was a member of the American Legion. She worked as a Nurse"s aide for Holy Family Hospital in Des Plaines, a pharmacy assistant for Prospect Heights Pharmacy, and a daycare worker for Sunnie Kiddies Day Care. She had a passion for reading, taking care of children, embroidery and gardening. Dorothy is survived by her children, Barbara Anderson, William (Mary Eileen) Schaefer, Roberta (Jay) Song; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Petropoulos, Kevin (Nana) Petropoulos, Keith (Suzanne) Petropoulos and Kimberly (Joseph) Petropoulos-Cannizzaro; 23 grandchildren and 3 Great-grandchildren; and her sister, Karen Harrell. She was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Petropoulos; brothers, Charles and Don Bell; first Husband, Robert Schaefer and second husband, John Petropoulos; and by her parents. Visitation for Family from 10:00 am until time of funeral service 11:00 am, Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights. Interment is private.
