Dorothy Lorraine "Dottie" Schwantz

Dorothy Lorraine Schwantz (nee Hogan) was born on February 4, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois. "Dottie" died peacefully on November 21, 2022 at the age of 92.

Dorothy married Wilbert Schwantz on September 18, 1954. After marriage she became a proud resident of Arlington Heights where she quickly became involved in her community and St. James Catholic Church. Her main passion was raising a family. Later in life Dottie went to work at Park View Montessori school where she continued to give her gift of love to all of her special babies.

Dottie's main passion was raising her family. She was a loving wife, amazing mother, proud grandmother and great grandmother, dear sister, aunt, neighbor and friend.

Dorothy is survived by her sons, Bob (Carol) Schwantz, Jim (Barb) Schwantz, Denny (Kathy) Schwantz; her grandchildren, Kathleen (Brandon) Ross, Michael Schwantz, Jennifer (Garrett) Rausch and Jonathan Schwantz; and 6 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Wilbert "Wil" Schwantz; her parents John & Katherine (nee Lee) Hogan; and her siblings Jack Hogan, Kathleen Hogan and Joan Dobbin.

Visitation will be from 1:00 until 4:30 pm, Sunday, November 27, 2022, at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Prayers 9:15 AM, Monday, November 28, 2022, from the Funeral Home proceeding to St. James Catholic Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arl. Hts, IL for Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment following at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines, IL.
