Dorothy E. Seng

Dorothy E. Seng died at her home on Sunday, September 26, 2010. She was born April 16, 1919, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Agnes and Malcolm Larson, both of whom had emigrated from Sweden. She was married for fifty years to Roger Seng, who passed away in 1991.For over fifty years she was a dedicated member of the First Presbyterian Church of Arlington Heights. She cherished her membership in the P.E.O. Sisterhood, Chapter HN. She was a longtime member of the Arlington Heights Woman’s Club, and she enjoyed many bridge clubs. She was a loving and vibrant wife and mother, and she also served her community as a deaconess, Sunday school teacher, and Camp Fire Girls leader. All who met her loved her wonderful smile and her merry, loving spirit. She is survived by her daughters Carolyn Kohler and Beverly Seng-Wheeler,her grandchildren Nicole Kohler and John-Michael Seng-Wheeler, and her brother-in-law Hubert Seng

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Arlington Heights, or to Chapter HN of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, in care of the president, Linda Rothermel.

Visitation will be at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home on Friday October 1, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Memorial service will be at First Presbyterian Church on Saturday October 2 at 10 :00 am.
