Dwaine James Klister

Dwaine James Klister was born on February 22, 1936, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin to Jacob and Helen (nee Philipp) Klister. He departed this world on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.

Dwaine served in the United States Air Force for 4 years and then attended the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee where he graduated in 1965. He was a Sales Representative for U.S. Steel, and later for Trilla Steel Drum Corp. After retiring he volunteered for many years as an election judge and tax preparer through the Buffalo Grove Park district.

Dwaine was an avid golfer, and enjoyed model trains and playing bridge. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, and cherished his time with his family. He will be deeply missed.

Dwaine is survived by his wife of 63 years Susan Klister (nee Kralik); his sons Matthew (Deanna) Klister and Jonathan (Karen) Klister as well as his grandchildren Ryan, Brandon, Kevin, Ashley and Jessica.

He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his sister Lorraine (Leo) Janis.

Visitation Sunday, November 26, 2023, from 10:00am until the time of the Funeral Service at 1:00pm at Glueckert Funeral Home., Ltd. 1520 North Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Doctors Without Borders.
