

Earl met his wife, Gloria, while attending Carroll College in 1954. The couple were married in 1957.
Earl is survived by his daughter, Dyanne (John) Wallner; brother, Gary Oak; daughter-in-law, April; grandchildren, Scott (Brittany) Wallner, Brett (Emily) Wallner, Paige (Chris) DeSilva, Tripp Wallner, Mason and Devyn Oak; his six great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Gloria; son, David Oak.
Earl was absolutely adored by all. He taught biology and coached at Glenbrook North High School. He also coached his church basketball youth team and alongside his son Dave for Mason’s youth football. His love of fishing was shared down three generations. Earl, never stopped attending local high school football and basketball games. He was an active member of First Presbyterian Church for 60 years. Just three days before his unexpected death, Earl dressed as Santa Claus for his great-grandchildren.
Family will be receiving guests Saturday, January 11, 2025 from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at First Presbyterian Church, 302 North Dunton, Arlington Heights, Illinois 60004 with a casual lunch to follow.
