June 30th, 1933 - February 17th, 2026
Reverend Edelmira Ibay Navarro lived a life rooted in faith, service, and care for others. She embraced so many roles, including pastor, teacher, missionary officer, and counselor, and remained committed to guiding and supporting those around her throughout her life.
Edelmira studied at Silliman University in Dumaguete City, where she earned her Bachelor of Secondary Education. Her time there laid the foundation for her life's calling, shaping the path she would follow for many years. Her life was devoted to service, but more importantly, it was characterized by her presence. Whether she was in a church, a classroom, or sitting with someone in need, she provided guidance and companionship to those navigating both everyday challenges and difficult moments.
Beyond her various roles, Edelmira was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her four children, twelve grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren- each carrying forward a piece of her love, strength, and legacy. While her absence brings profound sadness, there is also gratitude for a life that was full, meaningful, and generously shared with others.
Edelmira is deeply loved. She deeply missed. And she will always remain part of the lives she touched.
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid"
John 14:27
