I want to send my condolences to Ed’s family..  I worked with Ed until an injury ended my career. The two things  I remember he loved taking about were  his kids and fishing.  When I was a rookie,  Ed was one of those senior officers that was always very approachable.  I appreciated being able to ask him  for advice  and his experience  he willingly shared. I picked  his brains a lot  trying to learn the ropes, other officers and bosses. I appreciated how easy he was to talk to. 
Bonus our conversations always ended up with something about fishing.  He was always offering to bring me out on his boat. But I never had time.  He’d keep offering though.    I am sorry for your families loss.

Lela, We so loved Ed and are so very sorry to hear about his passing. We first knew him when he was part of our St. James Bingo family. We volunteered on the Bingo Team for 18 years. I'm not sure how long Ed was a part of that, but he certainly added so much to our time there. He was a gift to all of us! He was a gift every time we ran into him in town! We ended up being the best man at each other’s wedding, working together and being inseparable. There was never an argument, cross word or disagreement between us in all those years.  Thank you for being part of my life.  I will miss you always!  

Rest In Peace dear cousin Ed.  We have wonderful childhood memories of you during our visits to Fletcher Street and Major Avenue.  We remember your ready smile and kind heart.  Our prayers are with your family in their loss of a husband, father, and grandfather and with our cousins on the loss of a brother.
