Edward DeFilippo of Schaumburg Prayers for Edward DeFilippo, 81, will be said at 9:15 a.m. Friday, Aug. 26, at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights. A Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at Queen of the Rosary Church, 680 W. Elk Grove Blvd., Elk Grove Village. Interment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, at the funeral home. Born Nov. 10, 1929, in Chicago, he died Aug. 22, 2011, at home. Mr. DeFilippo worked for Allstate Insurance Company for 40 years at both the Skokie and Northbrook locations. Edward was the husband of Marilyn V. (nee Mudloff); father of Richard DeFilippo, Daniel (Stephanie) DeFilippo and Larry DeFilippo; grandfather of Sarah, Amy, Mary, Anthony, Laura and the late Nicholas; brother of Joseph DeFilippo and the late Mickey (the late Nell) DeFilippo; and uncle of many nieces and nephews.
