He was my uncle. We always called him "Uncle Jamie" I remember he would always come over and see us when me and siblings were younger. I remember that we always had fun with him. We couldn't wait for our uncle to come over and visit!     Another thing I remember is that one of his favorite salads was "tuna fish salad" It was made with tuna fish, elbow mac, mayonnaise and onions.  I remember one time he was over, my mom (his sister, Jean May Zimmerman) had made this salad. Uncle Jamie and I would always vie for the last of the tuna salad.    RIP Uncle Jamie.

We sorry to hear about the passing of our friend and fellow teacher. Ed was an outstanding teacher in his service to his special needs students and their parents. Both my wife and I taught with Ed at Kirk School in Palatine. Again he will be missed by all who knew him.... Sam and Lynn Burgdorff (Elgin Ill.)

So terribly sorry to hear of Ed's passing. Years ago, he was my son's teacher at Kensington School.  He was incredibly kind and patient and instrumental in helping my son overcome many issues.  I've thought about him many times since then.  All special education teachers are amazing, but Ed was definitely extra special.  My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this heartbreaking time.

My mother's twin brother, my "Uncle Jim", always put a smile on my face when I was a toddler and young child, as my collection of Tonka trucks grew and grew with each birthday and Christmas.  My sand box was filled with pint-sized heavy machinery, courtesy of my uncle.  Those are the gifts I remember most for some reason, probably because they brought me so much joy.  Thanks Uncle Jim, and rest in peace.

As kids and cousins we shared a lot of fun and many adventures together; Jamie was one of my best friends ever.  Sadly, as adults we never saw each other, but his passing leaves an empty spot in my heart.
