Dear Eileen, you haven't left my mind since our final visit. I ache that we were not closer, not being together more often. We were both fools not to realize the day would come when one of us will pass. I always thought I would be first. I miss you terribly and know we will be together. No cruel or mean words, only understanding and love. Our souls will join one another if not our bodies. There will only be love for each other. Your other half.

Hi Mommy!!!  Thinking of you today (and always).  Karen, Jack, Jeff and I visited with you yesterday and brought you some beautiful deep pink and soft pink roses.  It was a crispy cool day yesterday. All of the tree leaves around you have turned a beautlful yellow/orange color.  Many leaves are on the ground too.  It was peaceful.  OH and I also poured some "beer" into the ground because I know how you loved a sip of it cold and you used to say, "ahhhhh" with a BIG SMILE right after.  Anyway, I miss you a lot and just wanted to leave you a note about yesterday.  LOVE YOU TONS!!!! <3

My Dear Sister Eileen, I am so sorry we did not keep in touch with each other more often over the years. They go by so quickly I am happy Maxine and I did go to Chicago to visit you and your dear children and grandchildren.

Eileen, you were a wonderful friend and we had some great times on trips, going to auctions, and in our quilting classes. I will miss you and your phone calls, and wish very much that we could have taken the Quilting Cruise last year.

My dear sister, although we didn't have the opportunity to see each other often, I always knew you were there. I'm going to miss talking with you and will cherish every message we exchanged. Rest in Peach Sis, you touched many lives.

  My aunt Eileen...who I'll always remember taught me to arrange flowers, to add baubles to sweaters, to cut glass even if I cut my hands...to never stop learning and exploring...and to dance. Thank you forever!

I met Eileen at our Quilting Retreat (NSQG) and saw that she was so creative with adding what she called "glitz" to a mini quilt she was working on. May she rest in peace.
