Elizabeth Jane Burke

Elizabeth J. Burke was born on April 30, 1927, in Chicago, Illinois to James and Florence (nee Shaw) Janson. She died Saturday, April 2, 2022, at her home.

Mrs. Burke was a loving mother of four. Upon moving to Arlington Heights in 1969 she and her husband, Joseph, became founding members of St. Edna Church.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband of 74 years, Joseph W. Burke, Jr.; her children, Carol Schultz, Mary Jo (Salvatore) Savanelli, and Joseph P. (Kathleen) Burke. She was the beloved "Nana" of 7 and "Mema" of 10.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathleen Hegarty; her parents; and her brothers, Richard, and James Janson.

Visitation from 9:00 am until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00 am, Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, Illinois. Burial following at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery.
