Elizabeth (Betty) Cherry was born on June 17, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois to William J. and Josephine (nee Gullo) Howard. She died Friday, June 26, 2020 at The Reserve in Arlington Heights, Illinois.

Betty worked as an Executive Assistant for Superior Coffee and Foods for over 20 years. Previous to that she was an award-winning sales representative for Century 21 Real Estate.

She was a member of the St. Joseph Di Bagheria club, the Tuesday Mahjong Gang and the monthly Dominoes Dolls.

Her interests and hobbies included gardening, ceramics, decorating, bargain-hunting, and caring for her family and friends.

Betty is survived by her daughter Mary Jo Cherry, son Robert C. Cherry, as well as 4 nieces and 4 nephews.

She was preceded in death by her spouse of 53 years Robert K. Cherry, her parents, her brothers William (Eleanor) Howard and Joseph (late Marcia) Howard as well as 2 nephews.

Memorial Visitation Friday, July 10, 2020 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road, (four blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights, Illinois 60004 (capacity limits, PPE requirement, and social distancing in effect).
