

Peggy (Elizabeth) Kibler died Thursday, June 4, 2026 at her Arlington Heights home in the presence of family, at the age of 96. She was born on November 7, 1929 in Warren, Ohio to Harry and Marion Bishop.
Peggy married the love of her life, Bill (Willard E.) Kibler, of Williamsburg, PA, on Sept. 8, 1951 in Ohio. They made their first home in Berea, OH. Prior to marriage, Peggy graduated from Dyke & Spencerian Business College, Cleveland, OH, in 1949.
She was employed at Ohio Nut & Bolt Company and then at Glidden Company in Berea, OH.
In 1955 she and Bill moved to New Orleans, LA due to a change in his employment. While there, they welcomed both of their daughters, Kathleen Marion in 1957 and Kyle Elizabeth in 1961.
In 1966 the family moved to the Chicago suburb of Arlington Heights, where Peggy remained in the family home until her passing. After years as a stay-at-home mom, Peggy joined a local Head Start program as a classroom aide. A year later, her love of children led her to a 25-year long career in special education at Samuel Kirk Center (now Kirk School) in Palatine, IL.
In retirement, Peggy enjoyed volunteering with first-grade children at Fairview Elementary School in Mount Prospect, IL, where her granddaughters attended school.
She is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Holliday (William) and Kyle Kolek (Mike), former son-in-law Paul Kocelko (Laura Moreno), grandchildren David (April), Ben, Alina, John, and Cecily Holliday; Lindsey Thomas (Sam), Melissa Kocelko, Laura Nerwin (Nick), Michelle Kocelko (George Mugerian), and Tara Kolek (Trevor Wenmouth); and extended family Lee Ann Williams (Brit), and grandchildren Lauralee Hatleli (Ian), Jamie (Katie) Williams and Allison Rivers; and great-grandchildren Parker and Theo Thomas, Makena and Kennedi Mugerian, Remi and Graham Nerwin, and Emery, Grant, and Hazel Hatleli.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, June 26, 2026, at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, with visitation from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., followed by a service at 11:00 a.m.
Inurnment will be private.
