

Ella Therese McCallFormerly Of Arlington HeightsElla T. McCall, of Bartlett, was born on June 4, 1927 in Chicago to Joseph Michael and Ella (nee Curley) Connelly. She died Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Alexian Brother"s Hospice House in Elk Grove Village.Ella graduated from the College of St. Theresa, Winona, Minnesota majoring in history. She spent twenty-five years as a teacher, ending as the assistant principal at Our lady of the Wayside School in Arlington Heights. She received the Heart of the School award, Vicariate 1 in 1991. She was also active in parish life as a founding member of Eucharist Ministers and the School Board plus the President of the Women's Club. After retirement she was employed at Marshall Fields, Woodfield as a bridal consultant. Her volunteer activities also include fifteen years as a Eucharistic Minister at Northwest Community Hospital.She moved to Clare Oaks, Bartlett in 2008 and there became an Associate of the Sisters of St. Joseph Third Order of St. Francis. She also served on the Residents Advisory Board and volunteered as a Sacristan and Eucharistic Minister.Ella is survived by her children, Michael C. McCall, Ellen A. (Gary) Berg, Eileen (Jim) Martin, Mary Beth (Frank) Howard, and Jo Anne (Jerry) Heinz; her grandchildren, Jason (Jennifer) Berg, Rachel (Pat) Lewis, Jessica (Jeff) Drake, Jeremy (Erica) Martin, Katie McCall, Edward (Carrie) Howard, Shannon (Neal) Mejdrich, Jerad (Katie) Berg, Kristin (Jason) Corradini, Lauren Howard, Caitlyn (Brock) Nichols, Jennifer, Megan and Charles Joseph Heinz; 23 great-grandchildren; her sisters-in-law, Lorraine Connelly and Beverly McCall; and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Robert McCall; her parents and her brother Joseph.Visitation 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Monday, January 19, 2015 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N.
