Elsie C. Smith, nee Sinclair, 87, formerly of Palatine was born February 10, 1930 in Chicago to Raymond and Catherine (nee Morrison) Sinclair and passed away February 19, 2017. Elsie was the beloved wife of the late Edward J. Smith; loving mother of Edward R. (Barbara) Smith, Margie A. (Bruce) Self, James S. (Rachelle) Smith and Kathy R. (Terry) Davis; cherished grandmother of Heather (Ray) Capitola, David and Ashley Smith, Jason (Melissa) Self, Alexandra and Jaclyn Self, Derek Coburn, Kurt Smith, Tanya (Erik) Casey, Ryan Davis and Tim (fiancé Sally Schranz) Davis; great-grandmother of Michael, Madison, Matthew, Finnegan and Owen and dear sister of Helen Straus. Memorial service and interment will be Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 2501 E. Euclid Avenue, Arlington Heights.
