

Enrico Pedali, 97, of Arlington Heights, Illinois, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2025. He was born in Pont-Évêque, a small town near Lyon, France on April 27, 1927, the son of Leopoldo and Annunziata Pedali.
Enrico grew up during World War II. During the battle, he was separated from his mother and sister and witnessed the bombing of a village. When he was a teenager, he experienced the atrocities of the Nazi occupation of France. At the end of the Second World War, he was a member of the French Army and performed military service and he also worked in a coal mine in Alès. He immigrated to the United States in the early 1950’s and met his wife, Laura Biancalana, at a Lucchesi nel Mondo dance in Chicago. They married July 10, 1954. Enrico was a Renaissance man; he was handsome and encompassed charm and style. Enrico was a talented painter, carpenter and craftsman. He enjoyed hunting with his German shorthaired pointer, Baron. He was a very kind man and will be greatly missed.
Enrico was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Laura Pedali and his sister, Milena Cova.
Enrico is survived by his nephews, Bernard Cova of Marseille, France, Phillipe Cova of Bruxelles, Belgium, and Ralph Biancalana, II of Houston, Texas and his nieces, Florence Cova of Port-Sainte- Marie, France, and Diane Alesi of North Wales, Pennsylvania and numerous great nieces and nephews.
An entombment will take place at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at All Saints Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum, 700 N River Rd, Des Plaines, IL 60016.
