Frances A. DrautOf Lake BarringtonFrances A. Draut was born on June 26, 1918 in Chicago to Daniel and Isabella (nee McWilliams) O'Connell. She died Friday, February 24, 2017 at Lake Barrington Woods in Barrington.Frances worked as a nurse in Chicago, then she taught special education at Westbrook School in Mt. Prospect, retiring in 1987. She was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Cary. Frances was an avid swimmer, reader, attended Bible Study, loved to travel and was nicknamed "Out and About Mrs. Draut". She loved to spend time with her family and was loved by all. Frances is survived by her children, Patricia "Patti" Draut-Diggs, Michael "Mike" Draut, Terrence "Terry" (Alejandro Ameijeiras) Draut, Dennis "Denny" (Geraldine) Draut, Danette (Edward) Foreman, Timothy "Tim" Draut, Robert "Bob" Draut, Sheila Draut, Megan (Gary) Kurek and Frances "Fran" Draut; grandchildren Dylan Draut, Colette Draut-Diggs, Colleen Diggs, Garrett Draut, Kevin Draut, Aaron Diggs, Alanna Kurek, Taylor Wilson and Stephanie Molina; great-granchildren, Kyle Draut, Juliette Draut-Griffen and Aidan Gerentine-Diggs; sister-in-law, Lois O'Connell; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis "Mike" Draut; her parents; siblings, Eileen (Charles) Byrne, John (Catherine) O'Connell and Daniel O'Connell. Visitation Monday, February 27, 2017 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Funeral Mass 1:00 pm Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Chapel of the Holy Spirit, 2001 Waukegan Road, Techny, IL 60082. Interment will be 11:00 am at St. Patrick Cemetery in Hartford, WI on Wednesday, March 1, 2017. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to a charity of your choice in France's memory.
