After everything was taken from his family, they were forced to split up for a few years. Francisco ("Pancho ") while still a teenager, fled Cuba with his youngest brother as political refugees in the 1960s. He eventually reunited with his sweetheart from Campechuela, Cuba, and married her in Miami, Florida. Later, Francisco and his wife moved to Chicago, Illinois. They raised three boys, and he worked industriously at the same company for 40 years.
Francisco is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Dunia Galliano; children, Francisco J., Rainier, and Oliver; grandchildren, Jacqueline, Logan, Kaden, Madeline, and Antonio; siblings, Frances and Manolo; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and youngest brother Mario Jośe.

Visitation will take place on August 26, 2026 at St. Raymond de Penafort Church, Elmhurst Rd. (Rt. 83) & Lincoln St., Mount Prospect, IL 60056, beginning at 10:00 AM until the Funeral Mass, which will begin at 11:00 AM also at St. Raymond de Penafort Church. Entombment will take place immediately after at All Saints Catholic Cemetery, 700 N River Rd, Des Plaines, IL 60016.
