Frank Valentino Kuffel, Jr.

Frank V. Kuffel, Jr. was born on April 30, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois to Frank and Dorothy, nee Soszynski, Kuffel. He died Monday, March 21, 2022, under JourneyCare Hospice at Glenview Terrace in Glenview, Illinois.

After working for the City of Chicago, Mr. Kuffel was a stationary fireman/engineer for the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Cook County for many years before retiring in 2008.

He is a combat veteran of the United States Marine Corps having served during the Vietnam War and was awarded a National Defense Service Ribbon, Vietnam Service Medal, and Combat Action Ribbon for his service. Frank was a member of Mont Claire Leyden VFW Post #1284.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Rose Ann nee Arnieri; his daughters, Gina (Melissa) Kuffel and Jenny (Anthony) Calzaretta; and his brothers, Robert, and Gary Kuffel.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved grandmother Helen Soszynski.

Visitation from 4:00 pm until time of Military Honors Service at 7:00 pm, Thursday, March 24, 2022, at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois. Frank's family requests guests wear masks while attending the visitation and the Honors service.
