Frank Machac

Frank Machac was born on February 27, 1943, in Chicago to Frank Joseph Machac and Rose Eleanor (nee Dowling) Machac. He died peacefully surrounded by his children on Sunday, September 19, 2021, in Scottsdale, AZ.

Mr. Machac was a co-founder of Flodyne/Hydradyne, Inc. and co-owner of CMAFH in Hanover Park for 46 years. He was a member of River Forest Country Club in Elmhurst. Frank loved golf, hockey, baseball, wrestling, and time spent at the office. He loved to spend time with his family, especially on his favorite holiday, Christmas Eve.

Frank is survived by spouse Maria Cristina Hernandez Vera; children, Christy Rietschel, Lisa (John) Casey, Frank Machac, Jr., Sheri (Gary) Lisauskas and Erin (Chris Banno) Gams; grandchildren, Allison (Pete) Hoglund, Lauren Rietschel, Lindsey (Adam) Pittser, Johnny Casey, Chad Rietschel, Janelle Rietschel, Alicia Chiakas, Brett Rietschel, and Charlotte Machac; great-grandchildren, Jayden Pittser and Harper Hoglund; siblings, Pat (Bob) Kroll and Tom (Linda) Machac; niece, Julie (Greg) Goldstein; and nephew Michael (Kayla Vargo) Machac.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Michelle (nee Laurie); his parents; granddaughter Stephanie Chiakas; and niece, Susan Kroll.

Visitation Tuesday, September 28, 2021, from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road). Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Prayers will be held 10:15 am, Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at the funeral home proceeding to St. James Catholic Church, 831 North Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60004 for a 11:00 am Funeral Mass. Interment will be at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.
