G. Elsie Wilson

Of Arlington Heights

Elsie Wilson was born in Chicago on February 14, 1929, to Frederick and Gertrude (nee Maier) Heller. She passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021, at the Lutheran Home in Arlington Heights.

Mrs. Wilson was a 1946 graduate of Foreman High School in Chicago and also attended Wright Jr. College. In 1948, Elsie married Allan, who she met while working in the office at A & P. They were together for 72 years.

Elsie lived for many years in Arlington Heights where she raised her family. She volunteered in her children’s schools participating on the PTA Board and at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church serving on many committees. Elsie was a life-long Chicago Cubs Fan, enjoyed bowling, bridge and other social clubs. She enjoyed preparing Sunday dinners for all of her family who were near enough to gather after the weekly church service.

Elsie is survived by her children, Lydia (William) Falk, Jean and David (Allyson) Wilson; grandchildren, Erik (Julie) Falk, Audrey (James) Lucas, Roger Falk, Lauren, Jonathan and Joseph Wilson, great-grandchildren, Lindsay and Ryan Falk, Matthew and Andrew Manacek.

Visitation will be at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, 1234 North Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60004 on Monday, October 4, 2021, from 10 to 11:00 am. The Funeral Service will follow immediately. Interment will be at Elm Lawn Cemetery in Elmhurst.
