Gaetano “Tom” Faciana, 85 of Arlington Heights was born August 20, 1932 in Chicago to Michael and Maria (nee DeSimone) Faciana and passed away February 21, 2018. Tom was the beloved husband of Sharon M. Hamick (nee Luczak); loving father of Jolie K. (Vijay) Patel, Michael (Angela) Faciana; dear step-father of Timothy J. (Jenn) Hamick and Jennifer S. (Todd) McCuaig; cherished grandfather of India, Max and Sam Patel, Haley Marbach, Maddie, Jake and Kaden Faciana, Caroline, Jack, Olivia and Hayes Hamick; fond brother of the late Christine (late Larry) Guzzy, late Sara (late Angelo) Iovenelli, and the late Eva (late Ralph) Pipitone. Tom is also survived by nieces and nephews. Tom was a loyal employee of Sears for 40 years and was a graduate of Northern Illinois University. Tom loved jazz, golf, the Cubs and Italian food. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 27, 2018 from 5:00-9:00 PM at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights. Prayers will be said Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 9:15 AM at the funeral home and proceed to St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, for a funeral mass at 10:00 AM. Interment St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society at St. James Church or St. Mary’s Services Adoption Agency, 300 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
