George W. Goetz Jr.

George W. Goetz Jr, 77, died at Hillcrest Nursing Home on May 2, 2025. George is survived by his spouse, Ann L. Goetz, from Round Lake Beach, IL; his son, Michael Goetz, and Kristy from Lakemoor, IL; his daughter, Kristy Maravilla, and Mark from Round Lake Beach, IL; his sister, Judy Pevarnik, and Joe, from Woodbridge, VA. Also surviving are grandchildren, Anthony Maravilla (Ruth) of Round Lake Beach, IL, Cristofer Maravilla from Round Lake Beach, IL, Devin Goetz (Camryn) of Grayslake, IL, Elizabeth Maravilla (Manuel) of Round Lake Beach, IL, and Kaleb Goetz of Lakemoor, IL; two great grandchildren, Elijah Maravilla and Alex Gonzalez from Round Lake Beach, IL. Several nieces and nephews also survive. His mother, Myrtle M. Goetz, in 2006, and his dad, George W. Goetz Sr., in 2003, preceded him in death.

George was born in Chicago, IL, and raised in Park Ridge, IL. He joined the Air Force in 1969 as a mechanic. After the Air Force, he moved to California and married his Wife Ann on October 6, 1973. They moved to Illinois, where he owned an auto repair shop in Lake Villa, IL. Due to a car accident in November 2001, he resided in a nursing home. His final home was at Hillcrest Nursing Home, where they cared for him until the end. The family thanks the staff at Hillcrest Nursing Home for caring for George and making his stay welcoming. George will be laid to rest at Memory Gardens in Arlington Heights, IL, where he will be laid to rest next to his mom, Myrtle, and dad, George.
