George Maguire

Of Buffalo Grove

George E. Maguire was born on April 9, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois to Henry and Helen (nee Troy) Maguire. He died Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview, Illinois.

George worked as a roofer and inspector. He was a member of Roofers Union Local 11 for over 50 years.

George is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jennie "Jean" Maguire; children, William Maguire, Steven Maguire, Joeimarie Maguire, Michael Maguire, and Phyllis Romano; grandchildren, Anthony John Maguire, Emalee Donann Maguire, Alyson Judith Maguire, Bryan Hughes, Justin Michael Romano, and Anthony George Romano; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Peter Maguire; grandsons, William George Maguire, Jr., and Nicholas Michael Maguire; sister, Thelma E. Adams, brothers, Bud Mason and Dave (the late Lydia) Tolemy and his parents.

Visitation from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, Illinois, where a memorial service will be held at 8:00 pm. Interment Private.
