Germaine Jacqueline Wleklinski

of Arlington Heights

Germaine Wleklinski was born in Chicago on May 12, 1927, to Irving and Estelle (nee Rozkuszka) Petermann. She died peacefully in her sleep in the presence of family Tuesday, May 24, 2022 in Arlington Heights.

Germaine was a long time resident of Arlington Heights and parishioner of St. James Church, where she and her husband raised their two sons. More recently, she lived in Buffalo Grove and attended St. Mary Church. She loved bowling, fishing and Jazzercise. She loved to spend time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandson, and was loved by all.

Germaine is survived by her children, Gary (Mary) Wleklinski and Craig Wleklinski; grandchildren, Ryan Wleklinski, Kevin (Ashlea) Wleklinski, Jason Wleklinski, Brian Wleklinski, Dana Wleklinski and Meghan (Michael) Andre; great-grandson, Weston Andre; sister Carol (the late Victor) Rizzo; and several nieces and nephews.

Germaine is preceded in death by her husband Robert; her parents; and brother, the late Melvin (Irene) Petermann.

Visitation will be held Monday, May 30, 2022 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd, 1520 North Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Prayers 9:15 am, Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at the funeral home proceeding to St. Mary Parish, 10 North Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove, IL 60089 for a 10:00 am Mass in celebration of her life. Interment will be at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine.
