Gert Kalweit was born April 18, 1934 in Gumbinnen, Germany to Otto and Gertrud (nee Dorsch) Kalweit. He died December 15, 2023 at his home in Elk Grove Village.
Gert is survived by his wife Lynn (nee Rode) Kalweit; his sons Christopher (Trish) Kalweit, Clayton (Megan) Kalweit; his grandchildren Christopher, Connor, Kathryn, Owen and Evan; his sister Edeltraut (late Rolf) Hachmann.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial visitation will be Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights from 11:00 AM until the time of memorial service at 3:00 PM. Interment private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 405 Rush Street, Roselle, IL 60172.
