Gertrude Harjung

Gertrude Harjung was born December 24, 1929 in Bajmok, Yugoslavia to Martin and Julianna (nee Lachner) Lutz. She died December 18, 2021 at the Lutheran Home in Arlington Heights.

Gertrude enjoyed knitting, gardening, cooking and baking, playing bingo and spending time with her family.

Gertrude is survived by her children Helga Harjung, Monica (Rob) Roby, Robert Harjung and son in law Dan Twarog; by 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Adam Harjung, her children Michael Harjung and Linda Twarog; her brother Martin (Erica) Lutz and by her parents.

Visitation will Thursday, December 23, 2021 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 PM at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights. Interment All Saints Cemetery.
