Girolamo "Jerry" Colatorti

Girolamo “Jerry” Colatorti passed away peacefully in his home on the afternoon of Sunday, November 16, 2025, at the age of 92. He was born on April 1, 1933, in Sannicandro di Bari, Italy, and was the cherished son of Leonardo and Vincenza Colatorti (nee Beato).

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 72 years Teresa Colatorti (nee Giannone). Beloved children; Leonardo (Joanne) Colatorti, Pietro Colatorti, Vincenzo Colatorti, Mario (Andrea) Colatorti, Enza Colatorti, Nicola Colatorti, Domenica (Tim) Pawlak and Antonio (Brittany) Colatorti. Cherished grandchildren; Jonathan, Jerry, Teresa, Michael, Tanya, Tricia, Eddie, Jerry, Katie, Kelsey, Dominique, Lexi, Danielle, Angelina, Luca and Marco. Great-Grandchildren; Emma, Romanna, Peter, Joey, Annamarie, Rylan, Teigan, Maxwell, Mason, and Leonardo. Jerry is also survived by many dear nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Nico; siblings, Vincenzo, Domenica, Maria and Saverio; brothers-in-law Nicola, Palmino and Giuseppe; and daughter-in-law Anna.

Jerry dedicated his life to providing for his family and was loved by all. His legacy stretches across multiple continents, where stories of his life, his generosity, and his kindness live on.

A visitation for Jerry will be held Thursday, November 20, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. The funeral mass will take place on Friday, November 21, 2025 starting at 10:30 AM at St. Mary Catholic Parish, 10 N Buffalo Grove Rd, Buffalo Grove, IL 60089. Entombment will follow at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines, IL.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
