Gladys M Duzell

She was born on September 21st, 1929, to Louis C. Kleiner and Mathilda (Rascher) Kleiner in Arlington Heights, IL and she attended St. Peter Lutheran School. She was baptized, confirmed, and married at St. Peter Lutheran Church, and attended Arlington Heights Township High School, graduating in 1947.

Gladys (Glad) married her high school sweetheart, Lloyd Egon Duzell in September of 1948 and they celebrated 65 years together.

Gladys worked as a manager at Illinois Bell Telephone, and after retiring she helped Lloyd (Duz) in his business of restoring antique cars. They enjoyed traveling the country showing their cars at the Early Ford V8 Club of America car shows. Glad also loved gardening, flowers, helping and sharing with people, cross stitch, knitting, crochet, sports, and of course we can’t forget the hot fudge sundaes with pecans.

Gladys was preceded in death by her brothers, Harold and Kenneth, as well as her sisters Evelyn and Ruth. She is survived by sister Judith, as well as several nieces, grand nieces and a grand nephew.

A Memorial Service will be held on May 28th 2026, 11:00 am at St. Peter Lutheran Church located at 111 W. Olive Street, Arlington Heights, IL 60004
