Gustav Clarence Larson

Gustav Clarence Larson was born on September 15, 1925 in Chicago to August (Gus) and Helga Larson. He died Monday, March 30, 2015 in Arlington Heights.Gustav served in the United States Naval Air Corps during WW II. He worked as a Vice- President and Regional Manager for Citibank in Chicago and the Northwest Suburbs. Gustav was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Prospect Heights. He loved to coach his son's baseball teams during the summertime. Gustav also loved to spend time with his family and was loved by all. Gustav is survived by his adoring spouse Marilyn (nee Nelson), whom he married May 13, 1950 in Chicago; sons, Randall, Gregory and Scott (Urvashi) Larson; grandsons, Kyle and Crosby; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Viola Zimmer. Visitation Wednesday, April 8, 2015 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, IL. In-State 11:00 am Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 1111 N. Elmhurst (2 blocks south of Hintz), Prospect Heights, IL until the 12:00 pm Funeral Service. Interment 3:30 pm at Bethany Lutheran Church Cemetery in Lemont.
