

Harry E. StevensOf Arlington HeightsHarry E. Stevens was born on May 26, 1927 in Chicago to Harry and Mary (nee Fleming) Stevens. He died Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at his residence in Arlington Heights.Harry worked for 40 years as a Pharmaceutical Representative for Parke-Davis, in the Chicagoland area. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Arlington Heights. Harry served in the United States Navy during WWII and the Korean War. He was a connoisseur of Chicago Style Hot Dogs and was known for his quick wit and storytelling abilities. Harry will be remembered for selflessly helping many in need. Harry loved to spend time with his family and friends and was loved by all.Harry is survived by his spouse of nearly 62 years, Joan; children, John E. (Patricia, nee Devine) Stevens and Anne C. (Mark) Noffert; grandchildren, Garrett R. (Anna) Stevens, Michael J. Stevens, Daniel P. Stevens, Timothy C. Stevens, Conor L. Stevens, Quinn M. Stevens, Kealan M. Stevens, Caroline R. Noffert, Sarah A. Noffert, Emily E. Noffert, and Matthew S. Noffert; great-grandchildren, Catherine (Katie) Stevens and Harry A. Stevens; siblings, Dolores (Gary) Christensen, Gerald (the late Betty) Stevens, and James (Patricia) Stevens; and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; and beloved son, Kevin C. Stevens.Memorial visitation will be held Monday, July 7, 2014 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights. A Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 pm. Interment will be private.In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Jesuit International Missions, 2050 N. Clark St., Chicago, IL 60614 for Fr.
