I'll always remember her love for the 80's hair bands and I hope her personal haven is everything she missed by being born 20 years too soon and some day her parents will join her at a motley crue concert in the sky

We wish to extend our deepest sympathy and condolences to Terry, Caoru, and Ian in the passing of their beloved Heddie. We only saw Heddie occasionally at Dawn's house at Cain family gatherings. We remember her as a bright spirit, adding good cheer to the room. We know the grief of loosing a young soul and we know there are no words to salve the wound. Our hearts go out to you and the entire Cain family.

I remember making this darling baby an afghan when she was born. I took it to her Grandama Donna's house for Papa and her to take with them the met Heddie for the first time. I also remember getting to meet her for the first time down here in Southern Illinois, she was in her Grandma Donna's arms and Heddie immediately reached out to me. She was a precious baby and a precious child throughout her growing up years. It was always wonderful see her whenever she made the trips down here with her Mama and Daddy.
My heart goes out you, Terry, Kaoru, and Ian. This wonderful girl will always be missed!
Love you all, Aunt Pam

You were one of the most kind and generous people I've ever met. I notice that in your family and friends as well. You were the first person I met in Chicago, and in many ways, you were the perfect person to meet. You made me feel like I'd already found a home away from home, a band of scissor slingers with the sweetest and warmest hearts and a superb sense of style. Then, as if with a snap of your fingers, you put together an event where I know everyone in that room could feel the value of what you created. You brought people together. You are still amazing for all you've done and so gifted.

I know some will reach for that phone and feel the disappointment when they remember that you can't answer by ordinary means. But I know you will be with them, your parents, your brother, your family, your friends, because even the memories you left them with will burn so bright that you will never be forgotten. You are one of those people who leave a mark, and your parents I know are so very proud of you.

To her family and friends who struggle like I do with accepting what some call coincidences and others call signs. The feeling you get in these moments, the connection to those visceral memories, let it help you speak to her. Try to keep reason out of it and just talk to her. There is healing there.

Thank you for gracing this world with your presence and thank you to your parents for raising such a charming, kind, and beautiful person.

With love and gratitude,

I was so honored and excited to be one of the first family members to meet our lil Heddi soon after she was born. Seeing the joy she brought to Terry and Karou and knowing how much joy and happiness she was going to bring to her grandparents (and the whole family)was a wonderful thing! Watching her grow and seeing her on their trips South was always an adventure..... a new tattoo, another concert, another amazing story. ...She has always been a shining star and burst of color to our family, dancing to her own tune and being uniquely her own person. She was loved dearly and will be missed by every life she touched.

Dear Kaoru, Terry and Ian,
Our deepest sympathy goes out to you at this very sad time. May you forever cherish the happy memories of Heddie while she was here on this earth.
And for Heddie, an old Irish Blessing:
"May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand. "

Heddie, you were such an amazing, kind, and good hearted person. Our mutual interests, and the connection we had was something that I looked forward to exploring more of. With things shaping back to normal during this pandemic.. It was just the other day you were telling me how excited you were for the summer and how I needed to come visit you again soon. You even demanded I hurry haha. It just breaks my heart knowing you are no longer here and we can't do those things we talked about wanting to do together. I'd love making Spotify playlist for each other with punny titles. You left an impression on everyone you came across.. you were one of those rare and special people. I'm so deeply sorry for your parents as they mourn the beautiful daughter they raised. You were always so proud of your younger brother. You'd brag about your family so much, and I know how special of a bond you had with each of them. I couldn't imagine the hurt they are going through whithout you here. I know you are somewhere now, resting easy with a Little Walter tune playing in the background. It was a pleasure knowing and sharing so much with you. You'll be greatly missed by so many of us until we see you on the other side.

No words can express the brilliant light Heddie was to everyone she met!! I was blessed to know Heddie as a child and watch her grow into a beautiful, strong, amazing, talented and unique woman who had a deep passion for all things she loved! Had a child she was fearless and always curious and very strong willed! She had a perfect mixture of both Terry and Karou and yet was her own person! I did not get to see her much but when I did it was always a special moment! She was always so kind and loved her family so very much!! I loved seeing all the amazing people she transformed at her job!! She was truly an Artist through and through in many ways! Her passion was evident no matter what she set her mind to! No words can comfort her family but I do find comfort in knowing she is in good company with her family in heaven! She has some tremendous people there with her❤️ Although she left this Earth way to soon she made her mark on this world and will never be forgotten!! Terry, Karou, Ian and the rest of the family you are all in my prayers now and the days to to come!! Sometimes people just have a special light and no matter what even if she is not in Earth with us no longer I know her light is still shining for others to see!!! Her passion will never be extinguished and I pray your memories will live on and comfort you and you talk about her often!!! I am so blessed to have know her and her family!! My heart aches for you all!! But when I see her in a picture I just smile!!! She was very very special and a true gift to the World! I love you all and I wish I could be there today to help celebrate her life!! Love you all, Tobi 🙏❤️❤️🙏

Dear Terry and Kaoru

I am deeply saddened by the loss you and your family are going through. My prayers and condolences go out to you and your family.
After all these years, I can still remember Heddie’s smile and her voice so vividly to where I can easily slip back to the small city in the Midwest a quarter century ago. It was pure joy to share moments with you and Heddie.
