Helen S. Serwa

Helen was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Arlington Heights. She was a longtime resident of the Northwest side of Chicago and parishioner at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, until her move to Luther Village in 2004. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was loved by all.

Helen is survived by her children, Walter (Linda) Serwa, Bernardine (Walter) Labuz, and Jerry (Peggy) Serwa; grandchildren, Wendy Serwa, Kristin (Allen) Bilik, Julie (Neil) Furmanski, Bethany (Joseph) Beyer, Therese (Adam) Perkins, Thomas (Emily) Labuz, and Kelly (Benjamin) Kuebler; beloved Busia of 18 great-grandchildren, and beloved aunt to several nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; her parents; siblings, Stanley Wiech and Mary Kraft; brothers-in-law, Victor Serwa (Lillian) and Fred Kraft; and sister-in-law, Helen Wiech.

Visitation Monday, July 30, 2018 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Visitation 9:00 am, Tuesday, July 31, 2018 until the 10:00 am Funeral Mass at St. John the Beloved Chapel, Lutheran Home and Services, 800 W. Oakton Street, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Interment will be at St. Adalbert Cemetery in Niles.
