Helena Jochaniewicz was born June 6, 1947, in West Germany to Wladyslaw and Eugenia (nee Bugajski) Storozynski. She died on the Epiphany, Wednesday, 6 January 2021, in Arlington Heights at home with her family.
Helena was the owner of B.J.’s Flowers & Gifts in Roselle for 35 years, serving the northwest suburbs. She was an artist with flowers, painting, embroidery, gardens, and more. She was generous and loving to all.
She is survived by her husband, of 51 years, Anthony; children: Tony (Stephanie) Jochaniewicz, Kathryn Jochaniewicz, and Alexander (Lisa) Jochaniewicz; grandchildren: Alyona Jochaniewicz, Henry Jochaniewicz, Lucy Jochaniewicz, and Peter Jochaniewicz; sister, Christine (the late Dennis) Nemcovic; niece and nephews: Jennifer (Rock) Quenzler, Joseph (Joanne) Nemcovic, James Nemcovic, Craig (Julie) Kuprianczyk, Caryn Kuprianczyk, Christopher (Jennifer) Jochaniewicz, Charles Jochaniewicz, James Joseph Jochaniewicz, Janice (John) Hoffman, Angela (Brian) Thompson, Derek Fischer, and Brian Fischer; and her brothers-in-law Christopher Jochaniewicz and Peter (Renee) Kuprianczyk.
Visitation Thursday, January 14, 2021, from 10:00 am, until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 am, at St. James Catholic Church (capacity limits and PPE requirement, and social distancing in effect), 831 North Arlington Hts. Rd., Arlington Hts., IL 60004. Interment at St. Michael the Archangel, Palatine. Interment will be at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine.
