Irene C. Bucher, 91, of Arlington Heights was born February 5, 1925 in Chicago to John and Kathleen Conway and passed away May 18, 2016. Irene was the beloved wife of the late Anthony; loving mother of Mary (late John) Kloet, Stephen (Irene) Bucher, Ann Mertes, John (Lisa) Bucher and Mark (Mary) Bucher; cherished grandmother of Kathleen (Brian) Jacobs, Paul Kloet (fiancée Haze Dell), Michael Bucher, Matthew Bucher, Josh Mertes (fiancée Colleen Arquette), Abby Mertes (fiancé Brady Buynack), Jordan Mertes, Hannah, Kevin, Heather, Ashley, Ben and Kelly Bucher; great-grandmother of Carly, Luke, Andrew and Noel Jacobs and dear sister of Madeline (late Ben) Chitko, and the late John (Marge) Conway and fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Saturday, May 28, 2016 from 8:30 AM until time of prayers 9:30 AM at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights and proceed to St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights for Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions to American Diabetes Association (diabetes.org), Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (cff.org) or Jack’s Fund (Jacksfund.org) appreciated.
