

Jack B. Whisler, a 63 year resident of Arlington Heights was born September 17, 1936 in Buffalo, NY to Ralph and Evelyn (Goudy) Whisler and passed away January 25, 2021. He was a graduate of Arlington High School and Indiana University. Jack formed Brian Properties Inc. Commercial Real Estate in 1973 and organized 3 community banks, including First Northwest/Village Bank of Arlington Heights. He was the Past President of Illinois Chapter of Certified Commercial & Investment Members, Past President & Director of the Northwest Suburban Realtors Association, Past Director of the Illinois Association of Realtors and was named Realtor of the Year of the Northwest Suburban Realtors Association in 1983. Jack was a member of the Village of Arlington Heights Economic Alliance from 1985-2003, Chairman of the Arlington Heights Downtown Master Plan Task Force, Past Director of the Clearbrook Center, Past Director of Lattof YMCA, Past President of the Arlington Heights Breakfast Rotary Club, Past President of the Arlington Heights United Way, Member of the Arlington Park Breeders Cup Task Force and a Lifetime supporter of Metropolis Performing Arts Center. Jack was named the Arlington Heights Rotary Duffer of the Year in 2001 and was the recipient of the Arlington Heights City of Good Neighbors Heart of Gold Award in 2003. Jack was an avid reader, traveler, & sports fan, visited all 50 states and cruised around the world for more than 30 years
Jack was the beloved husband of Helen Jensen and the late Joan Whisler; loving father of Susan Gray, Robert (Debora) Whisler, Michael (Denyse) Whisler and Scott (Jenise) Whisler; cherished grandfather of Joan and Steven Gray, Bridget and Mark Meskauskas, Grant Whisler, Katherine (Phillip) Brand and Jack, Gaby and Carly Whisler; great-grandfather of Charlotte and dear brother of the late Robert (Patti) Whisler. Jack is also survived by Helen’s children Beth Jensen and David Wentworth and their children William and Charlie and Melissa and Peter Siavelis and their children Helen and Michael. Due to Covid-19 gathering restrictions, funeral services and entombment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions to JourneyCare Hospice, 405 N.
